This NFL season, the football teams representing New York have been going in a wide range of different directions. It is only the beginning of the season, and the New York Giants have had a rough start. The Giants continue their losing streak with only two wins and four losses, as of the end of week 6, and still appear to be trying to find their way. Giants Quarterback, Daniel Jones has been under constant pressure and is still not playing up to par, but to his credit, Giants ownership and management tend not to build championship teams. This was proven when Giants management failed to make a contract offer to running back Saquon Barkley, which resulted in him leaving the Giants for the Philadelphia Eagles with a $37.75 million contract. The Giant's rookie wide receiver, Malik Nabers, is returning to practice after suffering from a concussion during their game against the Dallas Cowboys during week 4, which puts the spotlight on the Giants' offense. Their offense has been facing multiple challenges with their lack of explosive plays and their difficulty in the red zone. Coach Brian Daboll reportedly told his team after their loss to the Cowboys on week 4 that he is “disappointed but not discouraged.” The team stands at the bottom of the NFC East as of week 6.
NEW YORK JETS: A QUEST FOR CONSISTENCY
The New York Jets, seem to be on a somewhat below-average trajectory with two wins and four losses. Jets star QB, Aaron Rodgers, is playing his first full season with the team, after suffering an Achilles injury early on last season. His performance has been good but not great with him completing 23 out of 35 passes in a recent game and has led the Jets into the red zone four times. The Jets need Rodgers and their offense to play well in order to make it

to the playoffs and end their “playoff drought.” They are third in the AFC East standings. In trading news, wide receiver Davante Adams was traded from the Los Vegas Raiders to the New York Jets on October 15, 2024. He is reunited with his former teammate Aaron Rogers, as they both played for the Green Bay Packers. In management news, Jets head coach Robert Saleh was fired on October 8, 2024. There have been mixed reactions to the firing of the former head coach, with some fans and media analysts believing his firing was the “right move”, while high profiles such as Bill Belichick, the former coach of the New England Patriots, believe that Saleh’s firing was “premature.”
BUFFALO BILLS: RIDING HIGH IN THE AFC
The Buffalo Bills are at the top of the AFC East, and rightfully so. They have a record of four wins and two losses from
the six games that they played. Bills QB,

Josh Allen has been playing well, but fans have been concerned over what they suspect was a concussion, in the Bills game against the Houston Texans during week 5. The Bills were questioned by fans after they allowed Allen to get back on the field after giving him smelling salts due to his head slamming the turf during an incomplete pass. Buffalo, however, has said that Allen was not injured, and did not make any official diagnosis clear after the game. Allen proved that he was in good shape in their week 6 game against the Jets, completing 19 of 25 passes for 215 yards for two touchdowns. The Bills have recently acquired wide receiver and five-time pro bowler Amari Cooper in a trade with the Cleveland Browns. Adding Cooper gives the Bills help in the wide receiver category and hopefully gives their offense a boost.
